Installation Notes
As a 1000mm T&G panel, the installation is straightforward:
- Preparation: Ensure walls are clean and dry. These panels can often be installed directly over existing tiles if they are secure and degreased.
- Cutting: Use a fine-tooth saw or a sharp utility knife/jigsaw to cut. Cut from the decorative face down with a power tool to prevent chipping.
- Adhesive: Use a solvent-free construction adhesive or neutral-cure silicone in a zigzag pattern on the back of the panel.
- Watertight Sealing: When fitting panels together in a shower or wet area, apply a thin, continuous bead of mould-resistant silicone sealant inside the groove of the first panel before inserting the tongue of the next.
- Trims: Finish the perimeter (corners, edges to the floor/ceiling) using a range of compatible aluminium (chrome, gold, or black) or PVC trims which must also be sealed with silicone to ensure a completely watertight installation.
