Description

The Grey Laser Marble PVC Wall Panel in size 2400mm x 1000mm x 10mm is a high-quality, large-format cladding solution that delivers the popular, sophisticated look of grey marble without the cost or maintenance of natural stone.

Grey marble is extremely popular for creating a modern, neutral, and calming aesthetic in wet areas.

Ideal Applications

The panel’s size and waterproof construction make it a top choice for:

  • Shower Enclosures: The 1000mm width means fewer joins are needed for a typical shower area, creating a cleaner, seamless look.
  • Full Bathroom Cladding: The 2400mm height is suitable for floor-to-ceiling coverage in most domestic bathrooms.
  • Kitchen Backsplashes: The hygienic, wipe-clean, and mould-free surface is perfect for use behind sinks and cooking areas.

Installation Guidance

Installation is a straightforward DIY project, often quicker than tiling, as there is no grouting required.

  1. Preparation: Ensure the wall surface (plaster, old tiles, and plasterboard) is clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove any dust, grease, or loose debris. Minor surface irregularities are usually masked by the 10mm thick panel, but large bumps should be smoothed.
  2. Adhesive: Use a high-strength, solvent-free construction adhesive or an MS Polymer (Hybrid Polymer) adhesive. Apply it in strong vertical lines or a zigzag pattern on the back of the panel.
  3. Cutting: Use a fine-tooth saw or jigsaw (with a plastic/aluminium blade) for straight cuts. Always cut from the back (non-decorative) side. For circular cuts (e.g., pipes or shower fittings), use a hole saw.
  4. Sealing Joints: Apply a bead of neutral-cure, mould-resistant silicone sealant inside the tongue or groove of the panel before locking the next one in place. This ensures a fully watertight connection, especially in shower areas.
  5. Finishing: Use end caps, internal corners, and external corner trims (often sold in Chrome/Silver, White, or Black) to finish all exposed edges and corners neatly.
